3 ideas for landscaping your garden with gabion columns

Whether square or round, the gabion column lets you decorate your garden in a modern, minimalist way while being original and easy to install.

The tilted square column

Who said a decorative column had to be straight? Anchor the gabion column at an angle and place stones at its base to create the impression of a cascade of stone. Add a few plants such as succulents to bring greenery and touches of colour between the stones.

The planted round column

Fill your decorative column with dark stones (for example: Fimurex recycled plastic stones as in the photo) and place a flowerpot on top of your gabion column to bring out the colour of your stones. You can fill your flowerpots with lobelias, nasturtiums or petunias depending on where your gabion column is positioned.

The illuminated round column

Why not combine business with pleasure? Integrating LEDs into your decorative column lets it be decorative by day and useful by night, lighting up your garden, terrace or path. Simply add a band of crushed glass (white or blue) to your gabion column and slip an LED strip into it. You can alternate the layers of stone or create a vertical line of light. You can even do your bit for the planet and use a solar LED strip. Let your imagination run wild!
